Obama pulls the plug on the American lighthouse of freedom

I really admire those who maintain blogs with constant updates and insightful opinion. Trying to find the time to work on my own young blog is hard enough, but I also have to decide which of a huge number of important issues to address. The choices almost seem limitless: Obama's Alinsky-inspired attempt to destroy the US economy and put in place a disastrous socialist infrastructure to take its place; Obama's unethical if not illegal firing of Inspector General Walpin for cutting off the flow of our tax dollars to his equally unethical friend Kevin Johnson (Obama violated a law he himself sponsored in the Senate); Obama's betrayal of our great Israeli allies (a real "I told you so" issue for me); the cutting off of money to our missile defense system even as the little dictator in North Korea readies a missile launch toward American territory, exports nuclear weapons technology to our enemies, and vows to make nuclear weapons hand over fist, etc. All of these (and so many more) are of the utmost importance to America and to the world, but nothing takes precedence over the nascent revolution in Iran.

Brave young men and women are dying in pools of blood on the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities -- all in the name of freedom and justice. (The following videos are somewhat graphic, but everyone needs to see them.)

I have been shocked and dismayed by the official American response to the protests in Iran. I expected Obama to remain true to his cowardly ways and remain silent, but I did not expect the news media, including Fox News, to all but ignore the story for days. I understand the argument about accusations of meddling, but we are America and we should and must support and defend all individuals standing up for freedom against tyrannical dictatorships and theocracies, regimes which beat, kill, maim, and otherwise oppress their own people. We should not be talking about negotiating with their illegitimate terrorist leaders and assuring their diplomats that Obama still wants them to come celebrate our Independence Day at American embassies.

America is the lighthouse of freedom that all oppressed foreign peoples look to, and rest assured that the Iranian protesters are extremely interested in the American response to their brave struggles. Watch any of the video smuggled out of Iran via Twitter and other social network sites, and you'll see plenty of protest signs in English; read the Twitter feeds of the protesters and you'll find questions as to the American reaction to what they are doing. Shamefully, Obama has now turned off this once-eternal lighthouse of freedom If the protest in Iran fails to become a full-fledged revolution, the failure will in part be Obama's.

The consequences of the Iranian protest movement for America are huge, which makes the pitiful news coverage all the more scandalous. If Khamenei and his pit bull Ahmadinejad retain power, a nuclear strike against Israel is all but guaranteed within three years, the regime will continue funding and arming Hezbollah and the Palestinians while also working against American interests in Iraq and Afghanistan, the price of oil will skyrocket to heights unseen in the midst of all the upcoming Middle East turmoil, and the young people of Iran will never dare stand up against the regime again, having been hung out to dry (and die) by the United States government.

Happily, the spirit of the American people themselves cannot be questioned. If you haven't done it already, get thee a Twitter account and follow the aftermath of the Iranian "election" on there. You'll soon see what Obama and his media minions won't show or tell you -- the violent attacks on Iranian protesters and the widespread support among freedom-loving individuals all over the world (except the White House and most of Congress) for the brave citizens of the Iranian protest movement. The America I used to know would be doing everything it can to support and aid these men and women willing to risk their lives for something we in America take for granted. If we don't get that America back soon, it will be lost to us forever.

These are the times that try conservatives' souls

I've been thinking about starting my own conservative politics blog for a long time. Now, with President Obama attacking everything I hold dear in his pursuit of a socialist totalitarian America, I -- like many of my fellow conservatives -- can no longer be silent. I knew Obama would be a nightmare for America and the Great Betrayer of Israel, but even I never suspected he could do so much irreparable harm so quickly. Checking the news each day has become a painful endeavor, with each day's outrages surpassing those of the day before, but it is a necessity. Conservatives cannot tuck our tails and hide for four years. We must indeed be forever vigilant, stand up time and again for our beliefs, and the spread the truth to our fellow Americans who are unknowingly held hostage by the liberal bias of the mainstream media.

I truly believe that America is, at its core, a conservative nation. Each day, more and more eyes are being opened as to the reality of the liberal assault on America's freedoms and ideals. The sense of outrage is growing from coast to coast. It is time for all conservatives to unite and raise our voices high, rejecting the liberals' view of America in favor of President Ronald Reagan's idyllic City on a Hill.

We cannot sit idly by as President Obama rebuilds our great country in failed Europe's socialist image, mocks our Judeo-Christian values at home and abroad, snubs our closest allies and exchanges pleasantries with our enemies, dismantles our capability to defend ourselves against terrorist attacks, destroys our economy with more and more taxes and wasteful spending, makes a mockery of our sacred Constitution, and oversees the murder of millions of unborn babies. We must take America back -- right here and right now.
